Hope Community Services provides a wide range of social services in the Hope and Fraser Canyon region of British Columbia, Canada. Our service area includes the communities of Hope, Dogwood Valley, Yale, Spuzzum, Boston Bar, and North Bend, Canyon Alpine, Boothroyd, Sunshine Valley, Ruby Creek, Laidlaw, and Othello Tunnels. We have been serving the community for over 30 years with programs supporting seniors, preschool children, school age children, youth & families and adults struggling with food and housing security issues.
Many of the programs provided by Hope Community services are offered through one on one work with program participants, in organized formal groups, informal group settings or drop-in programs. We strive to provide services that are focused on the needs of the people we serve and take into account the diversity in our community. It is our goal to identify and meet social needs and help to reduce barriers for people in accessing any and all social programming.
Keeping with our roots, many of our programs are still provided by volunteers working in programs such as, Hidden TreasuresThrift Store, Food Bank, Good Food Box, Holly Days Hampers, Meals on Wheels, Lunch with the Bunch, Volunteer Income Tax, and Emergency Social Services (ESS). We also have volunteers working with agency employees enhancing services provided to the community. Please see the About Us section of the website for information on volunteering and employment opportunities with Hope Community Services.
