Youth Suicide Prevention

The Youth Suicide Prevention Program provides interventions and resources for youth who are experiencing suicide ideation, and engaging in self harm.

This program offers:

  • Suicide risk assessment services.
  • Short term, one to one counseling.
  • Short term support for families of suicidal youth.
  • Referrals to other community services.
  • Suicide prevention education for community groups and schools.

This program can be accessed by youth and/or families, through the Ministry for Children and Family Development, schools, doctors, mental health practitioners, drug and alcohol programs or a direct referral to Hope Community Services.
