Sexual Abuse Intervention Program

The Sexual Abuse Intervention Program offers short and long term treatment for children and youth under 19 who have been sexually abused.

Sexual abuse is any sexual activity, including touching or invitation to touch, or sexual exploitation of a child by an adult or by a significantly older or more powerful child.

This program also provides case management and advocacy services, support for parents of children who have been sexually abused  as well as treatment for children and support for parents for those under twelve with sexual behavior problems.

Referrals to the program can be made directly to Hope Child and Youth Mental Health at 604-869-4900 or to Child and Youth Mental Health through your Family Physician, Ministry of Children and Family Development, Victim’s Assistance, R.C.M.P. or School District Counsellors.
